Jesse Lambert's Comical Gift

Growing up, Jesse Lambert was mesmerized by the whimsical universe of superheroes, specifically Wonder Woman. The ‘why’ is up for speculation, but Mrs. Lambert found it to be quite comical (100% pun intended). So comical that when Christmas 2018 rolled around, Lambert found himself unwrapping his gift from his wife to unveil an Anderson Multi-Cal Stripped Lower Receiver! His attention was drawn to this unique marking on the magazine well and he couldn’t help but bust out in laughter. He recalls looking at his wife, “Seriously?” On the right side of the receiver, perched up under the ejection port was the iconic emblem that had enthralled Lambert throughout his childhood years, Wonder Woman. They shared the laughter and then Lambert’s mind, as any builders would, went to the drawing board.

The original ‘Wonder Woman’ build was a .50 Beowulf, “I loved the .50. I loved the way it shot, loved the way it looked, even the way it felt was just awesome. But spending anywhere from $70-$100+ bucks per range visit got old quick so I transitioned the Wonder Woman to a 5.56.” The transition began, Lambert began working at Anderson Manufacturing during this period and says that being around all the various parts inspired him to make his Wonder Woman build what it is today,

The WW build is outfitted with an Anderson 24’’ RF-85 Heavy, Fluted Barrel with a 1:8 twist and chambered in 5.56 NATO. The rifle operates on direct impingement utilizing a rifle-length gas system facilitated by an Anderson Steel Low-Profile Gas Block (.936). The heavy barrel is sheathed by Anderson’s 15’’ MLOK Handguard, the front-end is fitted with a Harris™ Bipod via MLOK Adapter. Both receivers are Anderson, the lower is completed by an Anderson Premium Lower Parts Kit with the stainless steel trigger being slightly modified to allow for a 4.5 pound pull. The grip is by Ergo™ with a molded in palm shelf which is complimented by the fully adjustable Magpul™ PRS Gen II Buttstock. The Anderson Upper Receiver was made complete with an Anderson Upper Parts Kit, the BCG is an Anderson in Nickel Boron with a Radian™ charging handle to boot. This build has a Magpul B.A.D Lever™, a 6x30 CV Life optic and offset backup irons.

Lambert says that he takes his WW build shooting at every opportunity that presents itself. He has used it with a .22 conversion kit but mostly shoots 5.56 of various brands and types. So far, the most distance he’s planted freedom seeds is 100 yards but he is currently engaged in finding a range that’ll give him the opportunity to stretch out to the 500 yard line.
