Birthday Build

It all started as a gift from his wife. Jesse Lambert had received an Anderson AM-15 Optic Ready Rifle for his birthday in Fall, 2016. He started working at Anderson in September of 2021 and credits his Anderson AM-15 for inspiring him to not only apply at Anderson Manufacturing in Hebron, KY, but also to build and modify his own rifles.
“She’s nice and flat when shooting, especially with the sling, you can land real tight groups. With the addition of the compensator, she’s become a nice, fast, flat shooting rifle.” Lambert said. He added that ever since receiving his gift, chambered in 5.56, it is constantly evolving, “I’m always changing, upgrading and trying different parts to see what works, besides my key-mod; I’m a key-mod (handguard) fan. What I have works and holds true for me.”
Lambert has owned his Anderson rifle for over five years now and has never had a malfunction, “It doesn’t matter what you feed her, it’ll shoot brass, steel, aluminum, it doesn’t matter what you throw at it, it fires."
Although Lambert has pursued many rifle building projects, he says that his first and most recent build are always with him. “I keep my .40 caliber in my backpack that goes everywhere with me and my 5.56 likes to ride shotgun,” he said as he pointed out his rifle mount between his passenger seat and middle console. According to Lambert, his .40 caliber is the only one out there of its kind. The build consists of an Anderson prototype upper and an Anderson 9mm lower that comes compatible with Glock magazines.
“This one is special, it’s chambered in .40 Smith and Wesson, it has the RF85 treatment. An employee brought it to me because they know that I prefer .40 over 9mm and at that point, I had to buy it and I am happy to have it,” he said, “This is one that I love to shoot, I love to let others shoot it as well and they instantly fall in love with it."
